More pics

Rest stop for lunch on our drive to Sunyani
Typical house we saw on the trip. Cement brick walls and sheet metal roof, this one didn't have a cement wall around the property like most did.

Every town has multiple churches and you can see signs for them everywhere.

Rick and Ken, two of the faculty on the trip, checking out some pottery on the roadside.

Some kids waving at our bus as we were stopped in traffic. Our bus felt like a traveling aquarium, Ghanaians pointing and waving at the bus full of white people

View from the front the bus, the streets in towns are crazy busy. People, bikes, taxis, goats everywhere

Most the roadsides are covered in signs and construction is everywhere cause most times it takes years to finish

The Presidents Palace. Built to look like a throne from the Ashanti People

First morning in Ghana

Well... I'm Back

Sorry for the lack of contact on my blog,

after we got to Sunyani reliable internet was next to impossible to find and I was unable to upload entries and pics. But in the next few days I'm going to upload all my best photos from my trip so everyone can see some of what I saw.

Glad to be back and can't wait to see everyone

Suryani!!

Hello, estesen (how are you in twi)

What can I say, the bus ride, while uncomfortable, was amazing. The country side was remarkable, the people were so nice and good humored. We got fruit off roadside vendors, mangos, pineapples, and watermelon (so good).

When we finally arrived in suryani we immediately went into a meeting with our ghanaian team for introductions. They were so happy to see us and welcoming. Each conversation was like a mini lesson in twi as we canadians tried to use the twi we learned on the way. They helped us learn their campus, show us laces to shop and tonight we are going to a concert.

Sorry only got a little time to post today, but I am having an amazing time here, and it's only been two days I can't wait. Oh yeah, and I'm going to a soccer game tomorrow!!

Have a good trip to mexico my friends, enjoy the cool weather cause I'm still melting
